Upcoming Meeting Reminder

The December meeting of the Humanist Society of Gainesville will be at our usual time and place, the third Wednesday of the month, December 18, 2013, at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship social hall at 4225 N.W. 34th Street, at 7 p.m.  Our speaker will be Tom Flynn, executive director of the Council for Secular Humanism, editor of Free Inquiry magazine, and director of the Robert Green Ingersoll Birthplace Museum and the Freethought Trail.  His subject will be “The Trouble With Christmas” and he will examine where our most treasured traditions actually come from.

As we do at every meeting, we will be accepting contributions, food or money, for the Food4Kids Backpack program.

Our officers and board members for 2014 will be elected at this meeting.

We look forward to seeing you at our December meeting.

Jim Sullivan, President
