From Jim Sullivan:
To all members and friends of the Humanist Society of Gainesville,
The September meeting of the Humanist Society of Gainesville will be Wednesday, September 19, 2012, 7:00 P.M.
As usual the meeting will be at the Facilities of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship.
4225 N.W. 34th Street, just a few blocks north of 39th Ave on the Right.
We have two speakers who will educate us concerning the Amendments that will be on the ballot in the upcoming November election. One speaker will be from the League of Women Voters and one from the School Board of Alachua County. As usual discussion will follow.
Please remember to bring non perishable food items to donate for our ongoing support of the Food4Kids Backpack Program. If you prefer you may donate dollars which will be used to buy food at discount prices to support this very worthy program.
We typically meet the third Wednesday of each month. Next month, October, the regular meeting will be October 17. We have an additional activity scheduled for Tuesday evening, October, 9, at the Civic Media Center on South Main Street. It will be Dinner and a Movie at 7 pm. More info to follow. In November the third Wednesday is the day before Thanksgiving so we will move our regular meeting to the second Wednesday, November 14.
Hope to see you all next Wednesday evening at our regular meeting.
Jim Sullivan, President
